Issue 1
ISSUE ONE COVER STARS:
CYRIS
"We're sort of a miserable band really..."
After some discussion on what miserable music is, they slightly alter that statement. "We're quite dark, but powerful, and... we think energetic." Above all, they play perfectly together. This may stem from the fact that they are very good friends; they go out together, go to collage together, hell, they even go swimming together. "There's never been any tension, nothing bad's ever happened," they tell me. The overriding impression Cyris give is that they really care about music. Especially their music. "For every song you see at a gig, we've probably dropped three or four other songs. Sometimes we get a whole song written and rehearsed, finish it, look at each other and say 'No, it's not good enough,' and don't play it again." Jeff says.

Tuuli + The Wayriders
"OK, OK, it was ages ago, but here's some photos to jog your memory..."
Evol
Where do you see yourselves in 5 years? Lauz: "At university." Holly: "As far away from Lauz as possible."
Nation of Alcoholics
Chris: "Fuck! Ushers mum! Hard! Twice! Possibly three times, but not a fourth, I'm tired."
AllFallDown
"It is easy to see that AllFallDown are improving with every show. They are an energetic and exciting band and any self-respecting music fan in Chester should make an effort to see them at least once,"
CD REVIEWS
Jonny Panic - The Torrent and The Temptress
"'68' gives the band an almost Radiohead-like elegance, juxtaposing dark, eerie verses with plunging, vengeful riffage in the chorus,"
Twisted Bishop - Eee Pee
"They may have no grasp of spelling or grammar when it comes to naming their creations, but by god can they generate organised guitar chaos,"
The Suns EP
"'We're In Love' is the essence of the live stage performance; you can just imagine the hair being flung out of the eyes and the poses being thrown,"
The Wayriders - Live, Covers and Demos
"They've picked some weird songs to cover, from the erratic bassline of 'I Got Two Legs' to the downright silliness of 'Hokey Cokey',"
Additional Addiction - Abused
"Sometimes they're treading a fine line between articulation and cliché..."
Angeldrive - Euro Pony EP
"Dark, threatening and frankly rather frightening in places,"
The Tapping Valentinos EP
"If there was ever music to watch the walls melt to, this is it,"
LIVE REVIEWS

Issue 2
ISSUE TWO COVER STARS:
LANDSLIDE
Who said rock and roll was dead? They're new, they're loud, they're exciting and they, er, have a caravan...
Ollie: "We sound like the Datsuns and Pure Rubbish don't we? I try to look like a cliche of Rock 'n' Roll. I don't think we necessarily have to do anything original, just what we enjoy playing." Mike: "Become a big stadium rock band." Ollie: "Well not stadium rock but fill stadiums. When we're 18 we're all going to Amsterdam to get tattoos, possibly not Mike, then we're going to Birmingham, live in a student house, having a student lifestyle, but not learning. "Charlie: "I'm gonna have a beard as well." Ollie: "Charlie's gonna grow a beard, then we're gonna get on the Birmingham scene, then the London scene then hopefully Britain... and Uganda! Uganda and Paraguay we aim to have!"
FEATURES
Jonny Panic
"Lewis certainly appears laid back as he bends the instrument to his will. One can only wonder what is going on through this guys head as he relaxes up there - a sense of morality? The problems of world poverty and how to solve them? Or is it just his shopping list and what to have for tea tomorrow night?"
The Wayriders
"The theme music from the film 'Beetlejuice' blasts from the PA, and a big purple spotlight highlights the stage, revealing drummer Sean Howe squatting like a Maori warrior."
Trickster
"Lushly evoking the sound of a sweltering hallucination, the song pitches and troughs through varying degrees of emotional outbursts. It haunts us like a romantic's vision of the night sky, as shooting stars burn through the atmosphere above us."
Redshed
"A band so obviously centred on the all-encompassing funkiness of their bassist (who I am assured is the coolest four-string flirter anybody has ever met),"
The Suns
"An extraordinary edge; a rawness that is generated from razor-sharp overgrive rather than audible miasma, or maybe it's just a good excuse to turn those amps up to 11 and rock like a motherfucker."
CD REVIEWS
Landslide - Dear The World EP
"Whiskey smooth soloing and hardcore riffing."
Angeldrive - Nuclear Flower

"The heavy guitar riffs made a break-glass entrance,"
TheSaint (demo)
"To be unaffected by this demo is a crime against your soul."
The V-Plates - In Perfect Cadences
"Sleazy punk with a side-order of rawk'n'roll."
K115 - Live At Battle Of The Bands
"Another wave in the tsunami of punk rock,"
Kill City - Let's Find A Dark Place
"You can just imagine video images of Liam Buckley sauntering down a deserted street in black and white slow motion,"

"You'll dance in your bedroom to this one,"
From The Ashes - Between 47th And 48th Street
"FTA's stick twiddler has four fully functioning limbs put to full effect,"
